That’s why we’re asking you to join us in our “Just One Swap” campaign.
For the next year, the Just Helpers team will be swapping one product each month from our own cleaning cupboards, for a more planet-friendly option.
And we are inviting you to join in.
We will be sharing our favourite eco-friendly products for you to try, so you won’t waste money on products that don’t work.

Our first cleaning product swap
For our first month, we’re looking at limescale remover. If you live in London, this is a big headache. And it’s easy to think that this means a chemical-heavy solution.
But after thousands of cleans by our expert team, we’ve discovered planet-friendly products which really do work on the heaviest limescale.
Here are our recommendations for your swap this month.
Delphis Eco
We are long-standing fans of Delphis products, and as well as their commercial range, they have a brilliant range of household products. Delphis have excellent sustainability credentials both for their ingredients and their packaging, and carry a royal warrant. So if it’s good enough for the King, we are onboard!
Delphis Eco products are available to buy at Waitrose as well as online from their own website. Buy direct and you can purchase refills, saving on plastic and emissions.
Astonish
Astonish products are vegan, cruelty-free and biodegrade-able – and of course, they work!
Their Astonish Limescale Remover is widely available – find it in Dunelm, Ocado and The Range, as well as online on their own website.
Home-made Choice
For very heavy deposits of limescale, we use a pumice stone. Lightly scrub the limescale with the pumice, taking care to avoid scratching the surface underneath. This makes the deposit easier to remove and helps the cleaning product to work more effectively.
Top tips for making Just One Swap
- Pop a post-it note on your current limescale remover, to remind you to replace it with your eco-friendly choice
- Get everyone on board – make sure everyone who does the shopping knows about Just One Swap – so there are no accidental purchases
- Get friends and family to join in too. The more swaps, the bigger the impact.
- Let your Helper know that you are joining in, and make sure the new product is in their cleaning kit ready for their next visit.
