Not your average cleaning agency
Living in a busy and fast-paced city like London, almost everyone could use a hand with routine and domestic chores from time to time. Regular cleaning is essential for healthy and productive home and work environments, yet we often lack the time to give the spaces we live in the care and attention they deserve. As such, more and more people and businesses are looking to hire a professional to ease the burden.
London is home to millions of people. Sadly, not all of them get the same opportunities in life. Our lovely Helpers (they’re more than just cleaners!) come from various backgrounds, but they have one thing in common: they are valuable, skilled individuals who should be paid a fair, living wage. At Just Helpers, we’re on a mission to help you help others through your purchase decisions – we do business the ‘just’ way.
What's in it for you?
Everyone at Just Helpers is driven by a desire to do good – to do good work, and good business, with good people. The team is bound together by a shared social conscience and a friendly, positive outlook – Helpers and support staff alike, we’re a passionate community. Helpers offer a wealth of skill and expertise, and the management team work closely with them to mentor and support them in and outside of their work – combined, this results in a well-managed, organised process and an impeccable service for our clients.
The London Living Wage
There’s the National Minimum Wage and then there’s the Real Living Wage. As affiliates of the Real Living Wage we ensure our Helpers are paid a wage that allows them to meet the actual cost of living (calculated based on the average price of typical household goods and services). Paying people a living wage is essential to overcome the vast social inequality we face in London, yet it’s currently voluntary and uptake is low in some sectors. We are proud to be one of the few cleaning agencies 100% committed to ensuring all Helpers receive at least the Real Living Wage for London.
Ending Inequality
Our founder, Antoinette, previously worked with an anti-human trafficking organisation where she witnessed first hand how vulnerable people are taken advantage of across UK neighbourhoods.
Day in, day out people are not given the opportunities, rights and kindnesses that every person should be afforded.
We also donate a percentage of our profits to charity each year – by working with us, you’re directly contributing to a charitable cause.
Sally & Shteliana
Shteliana works for Sally, a busy mum with two energetic young children who keep her on her feet from dawn to dusk. Shteliana comes for three hours, twice a week to do the cleaning – together, they keep Sally’s home running smoothly and smiles on both their faces.
